Joined in the summer of 2002, having captained Celtic's reserve team for much of the previous season. Goodwin, who can paly at right-back, centre-back of in central midfield is a tough-tackling player who has made himself a fixture in the Republic of Ireland Under-21 side. He also has one senior Ireland appearance to his name, in earning which he became only the third County player to represent a home nation at senior level after Harry Hardy and Paul Jones.
